Harvest: It is common with squash for the first fruits to be malformed, wither, or blacken, which indicates poor pollination. As more male flowers appear, the fruit will develop normally. Harvest 2-3 times a week by twisting off fruits when they have reached the desired size at about 2-3" in diameter. Handle with care as the skin of fruits scratch easily.
