Soil Type: Fertile soil with high levels of organic matter more on the alkaline side.
Growing Conditions: Shade. Rosie, like other greens prefers cooler temperatures so use shade cloth, grow in a green house or grow in a shaded area with indirect sunlight. Keep moisture levels consistent to prevent bolting. The shades of red vary depending on stress to the plant including heat level.
Planting Depth: Plant at 1/4" deep
Days to Germination: Germinates in 7 - 10 days.
Planting Distance: Sow seeds at 15 seeds/ft in rows 12 - 18" apart. Thin seedling to 8" - 10" apart.
Days to Maturity: 21 days to baby & 45 days to full size

Harvest: For Baby Leaf production, pick leaves once they reach the desired size and allow the plant to continue growing. For Full Size production, cut Rosie at the base of the stems and above the soil level with a sharp tool.
